I'm Nok, 38. Yes, call me Auntie, I said it first. I ran a rice-and-curry shop in Ladprao for twelve years; my sister runs it now, so my mornings are free. I'll take you to the markets I actually buy from: Pak Khlong, Huai Khwang, Khlong Toei. I'll show you which mango is sweet and which curry-paste stall doesn't add colouring, then we eat breakfast somewhere that isn't on any app, visit a temple nearby if you like, and you're home before noon. My English is enough to get by, but food is understood in every language. I'm blunt. If a vendor gives you the tourist price I'll tell you, but I won't haggle for you. That part's yours.

Auntie Nok's own rules
- Markets, temples and food places only. I don't do malls and I don't do bars.
- I don't cook at anyone's home or condo.
- We start early and finish by noon. Afternoons I nap.
- Wear shoes you can walk in. Market floors are wet. You've been warned.
- Tell me your allergies up front, so I don't feed you the wrong thing.
Auntie Nok's assistant will say up front if your plan runs into one of these.
